It’s official…

I've become my mother.  I walked into my 10 year old daughter's closet this morning and "borrowed" a pair of her shoes…Ahem, we wear the same size. Did I just say that?  I caught myself "mid-search" and thought about all the things I swore I'd never do when I became a mom…

1. Wear my kid's clothes, shoes, jewelry…

2. Make my kid's answer the phone and say, "I'm sorry, but my mom's not here right now."

3. Read diaries, listen in on phone conversations, violate privacy, etc.

4. My make my oldest child wash my younger ones' hair…can you detect my resentment?  Lauren's hair always looked better, because mine was already dry by the time I was finished with hers!

5. Be harder on the first child…I think it's innate. Must be why I turned out so well…Mental note: must be harder on Zane, at least for a while, like, until I need to borrow McKenna's shoes again and remember all this stuff I thought I'd never do.

I'd love to hear something you thought you'd never do!  Leave me comments please!  I promise not to judge!

Leah - I find myself doing the same thing! I borrow jewelry, shoes (well until her feet out grew mine) and when I lose some more weight I am gonna borrow clothes. If your daughter is like mine, she has more clothes than you do! ha we do turn into our Mothers at some point in life!
