Well…can I say…CARDS ARE FINISHED…WHEW!!!!!!!!  I’ve never been able to say that before!!!!!!!!  It has been a wonderful, VERY VERY VERY busy season!  When I BEGGED my husband to quit his job a year ago, I promised him he wouldn’t regret it!  I can’t speak for him, but I sure don’t regret the LOAD he has taken off me!   People ask me how he likes working for me?  I’m like, people, I WORK FOR HIM NOW!  I just hold my hand out when I want some money…and honestly, I don’t have time to spend as long as I’m in town.

…which brings me to my utter and complete disappointment that my daughter and I did not get to go to New York and see "Grease" and "Legally Blonde’ on Broadway!  We got refunds on our tickets…we are planning to go in February I think.  Did I mention that I would rather travel than eat?

Hannah Montanna is coming up on Wednesday!  I’m so excited!  We’ve been jammin’ to Hannah and the Jonas Brothers all weekend to prepare…I believe concert preparation is essential to enjoy the complete experience!  I still remember seeing Olivia Newton John in the 80’s with my Dad who prepared by buying a HUGE pair of binnoculars (can’t spell) and didn’t share them with me!

I saw Bob Segar this year…didn’t have to really prepare because I grew up listening to him with my friend Kara.  We used to sing "Horizontal Bop" as loud as we could as her dad drove us to school.   Kenny died while we were in High School, but I believe he was my guardian angel during the concert!   I had NOSE BLEED seats for Bob, but, was GIVEN a FOURTH ROW TICKET BY A COMPLETE STRANGER MINUTES BEFORE THE CONCERT!   No, there are no coincidences.  Thanks Kenny…I know you sang "Horizontal Bop" with me…and "Night Moves"…and "Hollywood Nights"…and "Turn the Page"…oh, and thanks to the couple who let me get Tracie down on the floor with me.  I promised lots of free photography if they would just call me!

…anyway, this will be McKenna’s first concert.  She will most likely be like her mama and act like a screaming teeny bopper!  I would expect no less!

What does all of this have to do with photography?  Absolutely nothing.  I just wanted to blog about life…and take a little breather…

These kids are precious!  Meet John and Kathryn…they live in Evansville, IN…and I have known their mom Leslie for years!  It was so nice to see her  again and get aquainted with her children.  I’m humbled that she would drive this far for my photography.  The Lord only knows how we have tried to get it planned!

I took them to Bobby Davis Park…a beautiful place that is soooo special to me.  My mom lives RIGHT across the street, so I’ve been going over there for almost 5 years now.  The location the little girl is standing in below used to be the home of a beautiful Girl Scout Building… donated by L.O. Davis in the 1980’s to the Wilderness Road Girl Scout Council.  My mom was employeed by WRGSC for my entire childhood, so I grew up in this park until the building was flooded…I didn’t return until photography became my passion…and my livlihood…and it was just a step from my mom’s front door!  No, there are no coincidences.

I TRY to only bring out of towners to the park and have seriously considered "retiring" the park for my outdoor sessions…but it calls me from time to time…like an old friend…and I have to answer.
